Garden Reach Q4 Results: Defense sector government company Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited (GRSE) has performed brilliantly in the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25. The net profit of the company rose 118.9% to ₹ 244.2 crore on an annual basis. It was ₹ 111.6 crore in the same quarter of a year ago.
Revenue and margins a huge improvement
GRSE’s operational revenue gained 61.7% to ₹ 1,642 crore in the fourth quarter. It was ₹ 1,015.7 crore in the same period of last year. Ebitda increased by 141.8% to ₹ 219 crore. At the same time, the Ebitda margin rose from 8.9% to 13.3%.
Profit (PBT) before tax was ₹ 324 crore. This is an increase of 112% on an annual basis. At the same time, income (EPS) per share has also increased from ₹ 9.74 to ₹ 21.32.
Dividend and share performance
The board of Garden Reach Shipbuilders has recommended a final dividend of ₹ 4.90 per equity share for FY 2024-25. This dividend will be distributed within 30 days after approval in the company’s 109th annual general meeting (AGM).
The GRSE announced the financial results after the stock market shut down the stock market. The company’s shares closed at ₹ 1,915.05 on BSE on Tuesday at ₹ 1,915.05. GRSE shares also saw a rise of up to 20% last week.
Response of order and management
Recently GRSE has received an order of ₹ 490 crore from Geological Survey of India. The company’s chairman and managing director Commodore Hari PR (retired) reacted to the results, saying that this has been another strong quarter for us.
He said, “We are convinced about further performance in the next financial year, given the company’s strong order book, the production of the current project production maturity and commercial shipbuilding.”
