At present, there is no shortage of 5G smartphones below 20 thousand rupees. So can Infinix Zero 5G can be suggested at this price point? Let’s find out.
Infinix Zero 5G’s price in India
Infinix Zero 5G Single 8GB comes with RAM and 128GB storage variants. Its price is Rs 19,999. It can currently be purchased at Flipkart for Rs 17,999. The phone comes in Cosmic Black, Horizon Blue and Skylight Orange Colors.
Infinix Zero 5G design
Infinix Zero is quite long in 5G size and looks like impossible to handle with one hand. it iPhone 13 Pro Max It is longer than. The good thing is that its thickness is not much with 8.77mm and weight can be handled with 199G. I had its black variant whose glossy finish easily catchs fingerprint. On this, spots start appearing easily and do not get rid of it quickly. In such a situation, it is also a big task to keep it clean.
Its rear camera module reminds Oppo Find X5 Pro. It appears to emerge from the back panel and look quite attractive. Because of this, it looks quite good and different in this segment phone. The back panel is made of polyicarbonate. After a few weeks without a case, there were light scratches on its bottom.
The volume and power buttons are given on the right side of the phone and the clicking feels the absence of feeling. The power button has a fingerprint scanner. The trays given on the left side have slots for two nano SIMs and a slot has been given for microSD card. The bottom of the phone has headphone jack, USB type C port and speaker.
Infinix Zero 5G gets 6.78 inch IPS LCD Full-HD+ display. It has a refresh rate 120Hz and touch sampling rate 240Hz. The screen has a peak brightness of 500 nits. The glass that protects from scratch on the display has not been confirmed. The bezel around the display does not make the bezel but the camera cutout could have been slightly smaller. The phone box stars 33W charger, type-a to type-C cable, screen protector, transparent silicone case and SIM EJCT Tool.
Infinix Zero 5G’s Specifications and Software
Infinix has given a powerful processor to the phone as the Mediatech Diamessia 900 Praser. It is also seen in expensive phones such as OnePlus Nord CE 2 (Review) and Oppo Reno 6 (review). The chip has 13 5G bands support. The company says that it has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage which is not often seen in this segment.
Infinix Zero 5G has a general sensor and satellite navigation system. It provides support of Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The phone is not with the stereo speaker and you do not even get an IP rating. But it has FM radio. It has a 5,000mAh battery that can run it for at least one full day.

The Zero 5G has the company’s custom skin XOS 10 which is Android 11 based. The phone will also have an update of Android 12, but not before August. I would like to say that XOS is not my favorite because its UI elements are quite busy and sometimes it finds the thing that we are looking for.
Many pre-installed apps are available in the phone which keep sending notifications without work. Apps like AHA Games, Palm Store, Hi Browser, InsYNC were unnecessary and could not be removed. Basic settings like battery usage graph are also given in the menu which seems meaningless.
I like some of its UI elements like Xarena Games app which is quite smart app, and with its help some UI settings can be replaced from inside the game. However, it also recognized Twitter and Google Photos like games which seemed quite shocking. I hope it will improve with Android 12 updates.
Infinix Zero 5G performance and battery life
The experience of using the phone is not so bad. But I would say that avoid its black variant because it is a big task to keep it clean as I have said before. Blue and orange color variants will be more correct. The display of the phone is bright and there is no problem in reading in outdoor. But if you do not turn on its one-handed mode, then it seems very difficult to handle it with one hand.
Streaming videos on the phone looked quite good in which colors and brightness were found great. It does not support HDR video playback. The single speaker is loud but there is a shortage of stereo speakers for immersive sound. The refresh rate is not dynamic and is fixed at 120Hz.

I found that when I set it on the auto, it moves 120Hz on the homescreen and gallery app and 60Hz in the rest of the apps. To smoke scrolling, you have to push it at 120Hz. The phone performed well in the benchmark test. The phone scored 475,637 points on AnuTu. It also scored 730 and 2,037 points respectively in Geekbench’s single and multi -core tests. Games on the phone such as Asphalt 9: Legends and Call of Duty: Mobile goes quite good. After 30 minutes of session, the back part of the phone started getting hot but did not get so hot that he could not be caught in the hand.
Its battery life was also very good during the review period. The phone also went over a day with heavy usage. In our HD video loop test, it lasted 16 hours and 35 minutes above the average. Its charger charges the battery quite quickly. Its battery was charged 92 percent in an hour.
Infinix Zero 5G camera
Its telephoto camera is a special point that makes it stand out from others in this segment. It has a 13 -megapixel resolution and comes with autofocus. It is with f/2.46 aperture and comes with 2x optical zoom. Digital zoom can be done up to 30X.
The camera really performs well when shooting during the day time. It gave good details in landskep and closeup shots. Exposure handled well and focus on the subject was quite sharp. I got good details in it till 10X zoom. But the quality started deteriorating when he went over. Grains came in the photo taken on 30X and things looked just to be identified. Its performance in low-light was not good at 2x. On further zoom, the quality became worse.

Apart from this, the rear of the phone has a 48 -megapixel primary camera and a 2 -megapixel depth sensor. There is no ultravide lens in the phone. The main camera has disappointed because its exposure was not good in the day time. In the open landskep and the shining light of the sun, the main camera took photos from washed. The telephoto camera was taking good photos here than the main camera.

Low light landskep shots looked quite dark and did not have good details. The quality improved a lot after turning on the Supernight Mode. Photos of portrait mode were good, in which the background blur looked good and the edge detection was also right.

Its 16 megapixel selfie camera does not affect much. Results in Day and Night are not very good. De-time selfie was worth using but colors were also weak as the exposure was weak. Low-light selfie was quite granny and dark. There was some improvement in super night mode but the details remained weak here too.

Infinix Zero can record videos on 5G 4K 30fps but does not get stabilization. The video shot in the delite looked color oversaturated. Low-light footage looked quite granny. Even on 1080p, the video quality did not show much improvement and the footage was not stabilized. The only way to get smooth footage was to enable the ultra stedy mode, but the frame cropped up and the resolution was limited to 1080p on 30fps.
Our decision
Infinix Zero 5G on paper offers good features that first caught my attention. Its processor is obviously good, battery life is also good and charging is also fast. The telephoto camera is above average. The performance of the rest of the camera disappoints and the software experience is also not special.
If you want a phone with a good telephoto camera in this range, then I would suggest that you spend a little more money Motorola Edge 20 Buy that has the same 5G processor and 3x telephoto camera. Apart from this, it comes with 144Hz AMOLED display and also gets an IP52 rating. If your budget cannot go above 20 thousand then you OnePlus Nord Ce 2 Lite 5G Can buy and Realme 9 5G Speed Edition Can also look at.
