This Vivo smartphone offers privacy features of Android 12. When the phone’s microphone or camera is used, small audio and video indicators appear in the notification area. Apart from all this, it also includes some fantch widgets inspired by Origin OS. The notification trays and quick settings menu do not look like Google Pixel running on stock Android. Powerful search function is not available in the app drawer, but the notification history fulfills its deficiency and you can use it to use the notification tray to the bottom and use it (will have to activate first by going to the settings).
The company has added a new game space app to the phone, but it does not work special and only tells what games exist in your phone, and how long you have played them.
The Vivo V23 Pro performed as expected in the Standard Benchmark Test. It scored 950 and 3,216 in Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests respectively. At the same time, 6,24,567 points scored in AnuTuu. This score is obviously equal to the score of the mid range smartphone and this price range
Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 is less than the score of SOC processor.
The phone’s gaming performance was good. Call of Duty: This phone was also heated while playing games like Mobile and Asphalt 9: Legends on the most high settings. However, it handled the long -term gaming session well without showing any impact on the performance. Asphalt 9: Legends laid smooth on 60fps mode, but the call of duty did not enjoy that much, because during gaming, its touch sensitivity was unable to support me in the purpose of quickly moving and killing enemies. I lost many tournaments due to this mild delay in touch response. Even after doing the graphics quality at the lowest level, he did not go from the phone.
The Vivo V23 Pro has a single speaker, which looks quite loud, but the sound feels torn on the high volume. This price range phone often provides stereo sound, which is absent in this phone. The phone should have a stereo speaker setup to balance the sound.
The AMOLED panel of the phone is good. It is quite bright, and colors are saturated, but the color looks slightly faded when seen in the sun’s direct light. The refresh rate of 90Hz is enough, but many contestants of this phone get a higher refresh rate. The panels make its curved edge special. They do not look very different in everyday use, but the medium size notch of the phone looks slightly different, as nowadays most Android phones (of the price range below and above the price range) are seen to be seen, which gives a clean look to the display as well as taking less space.
Even after being thinner, the battery life of the phone greatly affects and the phone gives a good battery backup. In our HD video loop test, the phone lasted for 12 hours and 7 minutes, which is slightly less than the average. In the common use, the phone runs all day in single charge, but in this segment it cannot be called the best. Users who wish for more battery power will have to see another option. The phone is charged quickly with a fast charger of 44W. In 30 minutes it is charged up to 65 percent and is fully charged in an hour.
Vivo v23 pro cameras
The camera specifications of Vivo V23 Pro are quite attractive. Both front and rear cameras can record 4K on 60fps. The front camera also has HDR video recording and two LED flash units. The phone has a total of three rear cameras and two front cameras. Its primary camera in the rear is 108 megapixels, the second camera is an 8 -megapixel ultra wide angle lens and the third lens is a 2 -megapixel macro shooter.

The front facing camera has a primary camera of 50 megapixels, which comes with autofocus. The second camera is an 8 -megapixel ultra wide angle lens, from which group selfie can be easily taken. The camera interface is set well and all the necessary settings can be reached quickly. For this, a menu has been given in the top left edge (on holding the phone in length), in which the settings can be easily changed. It is worth noting that 1080p recording can be done on only 30fps in special video features such as Steadiface and Super Night. HDR video is also limited to 30fps for 1080p and 4K. While 1080p recording in Super Stabilisation mode is limited to 60fps.

Photos taken from 108MP camera were saved in 12MP. Sachuration appeared more in the photo taken in daylight, but the dynamic range and details were good. In the case of photo details taken from ultra wide angle camera, below the average. Only the photos taken in daylight were worth using.
The 50 -megapixel selfie camera also saved the photo in 12 megapixels. The selfie taken in daylight was quite sharp and clear and had good dynamic range. It also separated the background from the subject. Edge detections and details were very good in portrait mode. The same was seen in the portrait mode of the rear camera. Photographs of ultra wide selfie camera were also excellent and rear facing ultra wide cameras were much better than the camera. The 2-megapixel macro camera was quite useful in taking close-up shots, but the quality average.

In low-light, primary rear camera took good shots which got quite good details and dynamic range. Night mode shots were also better. The subject looks sharp, but the photo in contrast mode looks light artificial. There were some photos in which I noticed that highlights were more exposed around street lamps or other sources of lights. The ultra wide angle camera in night mode looked good on the display of the photo phone, but the details on the monitor screen were not much.

The selfie taken in low lights was sharp and the details with a spotlight flash compared to the screen flash. However, the quality of the photo in both ways cannot be judged more than the average. Night mode also could not help in this. In most cases, the primary selfie camera was seen struggling to focus even after turning on the flash.
Talking about the video, there was some disappointment here too. The company has given a lot of attention to extra features but overtook the basic features. The phone found the video to shoot 4K videos at 30fps. Details were not found in 1080p video recording in daylight. Stabilization was very good at 1080p but did not see anywhere in recording 4K videos on 60fps.
The phone has an ultra stabilization mode that stabilizes the video completely, but its resolution is limited to 1080p on 60fps. While shooting a selfie video in any resolution in daylight, the background was excessively exposed. The subject and background emerged well in HDR mode, but the exposure came more and the details remained below the average. Vivo has given a stabilization feature called Steadiface, which also shows the footage smooth in daylight and low light.
When the videos were shot in a low-light with a selfie camera, the footage came to a lot of granney. The Super Night Video Mode helped to reduce it to a great extent, but the frame rate was disturbed. Details were not found on shooting video in 1080p. Videos shot on 60fps were quite dark records and stabilization was also not very good. While walking, there was a slight lack of video smoothness. Even when the resolution was done in 4K, there was a problem with the stability of the video. Footage on 60fps in 4K was quite dark and video shake was also happening while doing PAN. In ultra stabilization mode, the video appeared light blur and faded.
Verdict
This phone is for those users who want a thin and light smartphone, or want to take the experience of the latest Android smartphone. Its color changing panel is quite different. This phone is one of the selected smartphones found in this segment in which curved edge display is available. However, for users who seek gaming performance and best battery life, this phone does not meet the test.
The competition for Vivo V23 Pro is very tough. After examining the Realme GT and IQO 7 Legend in a review, I can say with full confidence that IQO gets the best camera from all these. Apart from this, many more smartphones, such as OnePlus 9R, Xiaomi Mi 11x Pro And recently launched Xiaomi 11t Pro Available in the market, which gives better gaming performance than Vivo V23 Pro. All these phones get stereo speakers and amoled displays, including a refresh rate up to 120Hz. The Mi 11X Pro also provides an IP53 rating.
Photos taken from the camera of Vivo V23 Pro greatly impresses, but the video recording requires considerable improvement. With V20 Pro, this smartphone proves better in many ways, but cannot be called perfect. The higher price for this makes the competition stronger, as it also has to compete with premium smartphones of this range, which perform better than this.
