Realme 7 Design
Realme 7 has a mirror-split design, which makes interesting patterns when lights are made. We had the Mist Blue color option of the phone, but the phone also comes in white color. Overall, Reality 7 seems to be different from the back model from the back, which the company was in dire need, as there were not much changes in the remaining phones.
Realme 7 in the rest of the design is largely similar to Realme 6. Both phones have been given fingerprint sensor, SIM tray and all ports on the bottom. Reality 7 is actually thick (9.4 mm) and heavy (196.5 g) compared to 6. The credit goes to its big battery. One hand texting or photography is not as easy due to additional weight.
Realme 7 feels strong. It still comes with plastic in the frame and back panel. The SIM tray has two Nano-SIM and three slots for a microSD card. It comes with a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ LCD panel, which provides Gorilla Glass 3 protection for safety from holes cutouts and scratches. Like Realme 6, it gets 90 Hz refresh rates. The display can be very bright and the colors look well saturated. We saw that when there is a light background, off-axis vanating appears in the edges of the screen, but it is not a attention to draw attention.
Overall, Realme 7 seems concretely manufactured for a budget phone. However, we are not very happy about weight gain, which definitely makes heavier in everyday use.
Realme 7 performance and software
Realme 7 is the first phone to come with MediaTek Helio G95 processor. This is an updated version of Helio G90T, which was seen in Realme 6, but is not a big upgrade. The only change is that the Mali-G76 GPU clock speed has been increased from 800mHz to 900mHz. The rest of the specifications of the chipset look the same. It is still a 12nm octa-core chip.
The base variant of Reality 7 has 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, priced at Rs 14,999 and its 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is priced at Rs 16,999. As before, it comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 flash storage.
The performance of the phone is good. Reality 7 runs on Realme UI based on Android 10. It recognizes the face quickly and accurately and its side-mounted fingerprint sensor is also fast. The interface is easy, which feels fast when there is 8 GB RAM. Apps are usually rapid load and scrolling in the menu due to the 90Hz refresh rate is smooth and felt. Live wallpapers and smart sidebar, built-in screen recorder and many gestures and shortcuts are good add-on.
Realme 7 is also good in gaming. Battle Prime looked great in the most high graphics settings and the gameplay was smooth. Racing games like Carx Drift Racing 2 also give a good experience. Game Space App helps to organize all your games in one place and easily accesses things like screen recording and WhatsApp messages while playing.
Realme 7 Battery Life
Reality 7 provides a 5,000mAh battery, much larger than the 4,300mAh capacity of Reality 6. Even in the heavy use of mangoes, I easily got a full one and a half day backup on one charge. Realme 7 our HD video battery loop test lasted a little longer than 24 hours, which is the best performance.
Realme 7 30 Wat Dart Charge comes with fast charging support, which charges it to zero to 100 in about 65 minutes. If the charger of the reality you do not work, you can also use fast charging with 15 watt USB-C power delivery.
Realme 7 Cameras
Reality 7 has a third major change as a primary rear camera compared to Reality 6. This is still 64 megapixel resolution, but Realme has a Sony IMX682 sensor instead of Samsung GW1 sensor. Reality also states that the company is using a new “Ultra High Definition” algorithm for 64 megapixels, which will give better clarity and details than the sensor on Realme 6. ,
Here is the comparison of Realme 7 and Realme 6 cameras, which will give you a clear idea of how much change has been made in the camera setup. If we zoom in a part of the buildings, we see that Reality 6 took a clear picture with low grains (grains), but textures were quite smooth. Reality 7 takes better texture, but some grains are found in the photo.
However, when shooting in default photo mode is done, the pixel-bind image captured by Realme 7 leads to noticeable improvement. It comes with a better dynamic range and exposure, with better information than Realme. Low light photos look very clean. The shots captured using night mode looks good. Overall, the new sensor is slightly better than the old ones and it is not bad.
Reality 7 also works well with close-up. Details and colors come very good and autofocus works well. However, the rest of the camera is the same as we have already seen on Realme 6. You will get the same experience in both phones to a large extent.
Ultra wide-angle camera captures a large area, but details and color appear weaker than primary camera sensors. After cropping the photo, this problem is more visible. Portrait shots generally looked good and you get the option to adjust the background blur before shooting. 2-megapixel macro camera is not special and even pictures taken in good light look quite bad.
We found that the 16-megapixel selfie camera is fine. The selfie taken during the day seems decent, but we liked if HDR and better work. Portrait mode is useful, as it crops the background correctly. In the evening or night you can get usable selfies, provided there are good lights around. Night mode is available, but selfie sharp appears in our experience.
Verdict
Realme 7 does not bring a very big upgrade above the current Realme 6, but it is a little better with its big battery and better primary camera sensor. Overall performance is very good, the battery life is tremendous and the performance of the 90Hz panel makes general use easier and smooth. Reality 7 looks great to look at, but it is heavier and thicker than Reality 6 and can normally improve the quality of video recording. It gives good value at an initial price of Rs 14,999.
We feel that Realme 6 users do not have to worry about upgrade, as they will not feel much difference in Realme 7 compared to their existing smartphones. Although the base variant of Reality 7 is a good pick for those who want a high refresh rate screen, but their budget is tight.
