Nepal tourism: Indian Tourists will be able to take cash of Rs 4.25 lakh in cash while going to Land Nepal. The Nepal government may soon allow it. Till now, Indian tourists can take only Rs 25,000 to go from the land area. Whereas, by Air Air i.e. flight, there is already permission to carry Rs 4.25 lakh cash. The Nepal’s leading trading organization Federation of Nepali Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) appealed to the government that Indian tourists coming to Nepal from the land area should be allowed to bring more cash.
Now Indian tourists can take Rs 25,000
Currently, tourists coming from India can come to Nepal with cash only up to Rs 25,000. FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal said that this limit is very low and it damages tourism. He demanded that the limit be increased to $ 5,000 i.e. about 4.25 lakhs, which is already applicable to the passengers coming from the air route i.e. by air. That is, Indian tourists visiting Nepal by flight can take Rs 4.25 lakh with them. This permission is already with Indians tourists to know by flight.
Association made its demand
According to Dhakal, this was kept during the conversation with Finance Minister Vishnu Paudel before the budget. He said that when Indian citizens coming by air are allowed to bring up to $ 5,000, then why not this rule for those coming from the ground?
Tourism and business will get a boost
Dhakal also suggested that better infrastructure such as roads, facilities, check posts, etc. should be prepared on Nepal-India limit, so that Indian tourists will be able to move. Apart from this, he also recommended to adopt stable policies to attract domestic and foreign investment in Nepal and implement an integrated tax system. This step will not only increase tourism in Nepal, but will also provide local business and employment opportunities.
