The Kent Cameye Homecam is a base fixed in 360, which is given on a rubber surface so that its grip remains. The rest of the camera’s body can rotate on this floor. The Kent Cameye app is available on both iOS and Android platforms. I checked its connectivity on the first platform. If you have many cant cameras, they can all be controlled and monitored together.
After registering on the app, after creating an account, you can link the security camera to it and connect it to the Wi-Fi connection of your home. After this, by tapping on the camera icon, you reach the video feed. Here you can adjust the camera angle and settings, activate the speaker and the microphone together or separately, you can also take a snapshot to save in the smartphone.
The app is very easy to use. Its options and functions are given at convenient places. For example, you can easily activate two-way communication or take a snapshot from a tap. D-pad can also be directly accessible to adjust the camera angle. Generally, it takes only two to three seconds to activate the camera and show the video feed.
If you get more in menu and settings, then you get privacy mode. On activating it, the camera is not activated by itself or does not record the footage. You can see your saved recording and photos and all alerts released by the camera. Its alert sensitivity can be customized. For a particular event, you can store a video clip for 7 days. These clips are 12 seconds long. For this, a charge of Rs 400 per month is charged or Rs 4 thousand has to be paid for a year, which has a video history store up to 30 days.
For this review, I used a one -month plan. With this help, I was able to store the video on cloud storage and also watch the old video footage. Even after the plan expired, I was able to watch some videos in the app and download them in my smartphone.
According to the information given on the website of Cantt, from the paid subscription you can capture the event trigird recording, which is saved on the cloud. From here you can also play them directly. However, all other functions such as memory card recording and playback, live streaming of video feeds in real time, two-way communication and privacy mode etc. are also available without any paid subscription plan.
By using a skill, you can link Kent Cameye Homecam 360 to your Amazon Alexa account. With this, you can also access the video feed by going inside the Alexa app. Or you can also access the video feed on an Alexa enabled smart display like Amazon Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen). It worked for me, but with the Alexa link I could not adjust the camera angle.
Kent Cameye Homecam 360 Performance
An important feature for the home security camera is to be reliable. When you need it, it should work. For me, Kent Cameye Homecam 360 did the right job on my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection. I was able to run it easily and within seconds I was able to do all that I wanted to do. The app is designed very well. Access to all necessary features is quite easy.
Kent Cameye Homecam can record 360 fullHD video feeds. In the day time it shows full color feed and shows monochrome feed in darkness. The camera automatically detects low-light condition and turns on infrared LED as per the need. It worked well because even when there was no color in the feed, I was able to see the details and faces. Many times a situation occurred when the camera took a few seconds to change with light condition and re-calibrated the video feed, but there was not much trouble in it.
FullHD footage of the camera was quite sharp and detailed but it showed some articles in a high speed position. There was no problem because there was a lot of details in faces, clothes and small things like boxes and packages etc.
You can also set its resolution on HD or SD, which makes the stream more stable and recorded in details in case of low internet speed. This is still useful when you want to store more footage on SD card. Although it becomes difficult to read the text appearing on things in SD, but the faces are still clearly visible.
Its camera angle gets a wide range to adjust. Wherever the camera is kept, it can be monitored with a 350 degree range around it. Its 65 degree tilt range is mixed with wide viewing angle, which gives a lot of flexibility in the viewing range. However, the camera took a second time on the command of adjusting the angle from the app.
The speaker of Kent Cameye Homecam 360 is quite loud. It makes a lot of noise and loud the most loud on siren mode. Its kims are also very loud and can be heard from different parts of the house. Standing near the camera, I was easily able to do two-way communication. The microphone captured the surrounding sound quite a lot but when someone stands near the camera and speaks, it captures the words spoken well. If needed, you can only activate the microphone except the speaker.
The camera captures the man’s activity well but it cannot track an object or person. Save clips were quite clear and faces and things were being easily identified.

A good Wi-Fi camera is an easy and effective way to monitor the house, and the Kent Cameye Homecam 360 is a good option for this. However, it gives a strong competition from Godrej Spotlight Pan-Tilt camera and Mi Home Security Camera 360.
It is a good basic Wi-Fi security camera that comes with two-way communication, paid subscription cloud storage and reliable performance. Its price is also quite valid and it can be purchased obviously according to the needs of your home safety.
