Motorola Edge 30 Pro Price in India
Motorola Edge 30 Pro The price in India is Rs 49,999 and it comes only in 8GB RAM and 128GB storage models. There is also no option to increase storage. The company has introduced it in Cosmos Blue and Stardust White color options.
Motorola Edge 30 Pro Design
Motorola Edge 30 Pro design almost Edge 20 Pro It is the same as Its cosmos came to me for the blue option review which I felt a lot of premium. The phone has a large 6.7 -inch display and a small camera hole has been given on the top. Thin bezels are found on the edges of the display. The back panel is made of glass whose side is curved, they make the phone comfortable to hold. The phone is quite large and its weight is 196 grams, which is also felt when caught in the hand. The phone’s frame is of plastic which does not suit the flagship phone.
The power and volume buttons of the smartphone are given on the right and according to me they are set to a slight height. The left frame of the phone is kept empty. Because the fingerprint scanner is given in the power button, I often had to pull my thumb upwards to unlock the phone. The company could keep the power button down and the volume button could be given on the left side. The top frame of the phone has only secondary microphone, while SIM trays, primary microphones, USB Type-C ports and loudspeakers are given in the bottom.
The camera module in the rear panel is given in the top left corner. It is not too out, but looks beautifully in the rear panel. The phone does not appear to be picked up even after placing the flat in place. Motorola has given a metal ring around it to prevent scratch on primary camera. The phone gets an IP52 rating, so it is dust proof and can also avoid spoiling in light splashes.
Motorola Edge 30 Pro Specifications and Software
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro has a 6.7 -inch FullHD Plus AMOLED display, which comes with HDR10+ Certification and Maximum Refresh Rate of 144Hz. Panel’s viewing angles are good, and its brightness was sufficient when taken outdoor. The company has given the DC Dimping option in it, which helps to save power by reducing brightness. In the front of the phone, the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is found which is a little surprised, as the back panel has a safety of Gorilla Glass 5. The Stereo Speaker in Edge 30 Pro comes with the support of Dolby Atmos.
The most special feature of the phone is its Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It is currently the most powerful processor to be found in an Android phone. IQoo 9 Pro And Samsung Galaxy S22 The same processor has been given in the series, but the price of these smartphones is very high.

Motorola Edge 30 Pro has support for Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 13 5G band, NFC and six satellite navigation systems. Motorola claims that more 5G bands can also be activated through software updates. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro has two nano SIM support and supports dual 5G and dual 4G VoLTE.
The 4,800mAh battery in Edge 30 Pro is given with 68W fast charging. Charger is available in the box. It also supports wireless charging with 15W capacity. Apart from this, it can also charge other QI supportive devices and accessories with 5W wireless power sharing capacity.
The phone runs on the company’s My UX skin based on Android 12. My unit was given the Android Security Patch of January 2022. The company says that apart from Android 13 in the phone, Android 14 will also get an update. Also, Android Security updates will also be available for three years. Motorola’s customization does not appear to interfere in the interface. With stock Android 12, the UI provides large togle buttons and an indicator is also found when the camera or microphone is used. The icon shape, color and font style can be customized. However, you cannot change the accent color of UI based wallpaper. If this feature was there, I would like it. This feature is found in Realme 9 Pro+ and Google Pixel running on Android 12.

The user interface of the phone is very easy to use. Moto gesture is also supported, through which you are able to perform many action. These include some traditional gestures of Moto such as flashlight togle for double chops and double crank to launch camera. With the help of Moto App, many more action can also be activated for this. I liked its power-touch gesture a lot. In this, a panel comes out on double tapping the power button, which provides shortcuts to preserve contacts and apps. Apart from some Google apps, I only got preloaded in it and can also be removed.
Motorola Edge 30 Pro Performance and Battery Life
Motorola Edge 30 Pro is the first smartphone I used with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The processor is very fast and whenever I tried to do something in it, that activity was immediately loaded. Scrolling was very smooth than its 144Hz display. The AMOLED panel of the phone shows attractive color and the contrast is also quite good. With the help of Stereo Speakers, the experience of watching the video was also good. One thing I noticed that the speakers have not been well balanced. The side mounted fingerprint scanner was feeling slightly out of the access, but was able to unlock the phone easily.
The phone scored quite well on benchmark apps. Its score on AnTuTu was 9,41,189. The phone scored 1,194 in Geekbench 5’s single-core test and 3,542 in multi-core test. In GFXBench’s Car Chase Test, this 81 frame was successful in maintaining per second. Here I notice that the phone was getting hot due to load on the processor. Due to this, the battery was also ending quickly.

Call of Duty: No lag was found while playing mobile. The game doubled due to the stereo speaker. However, after 20 minutes I found that the phone was heated and the battery was also spent a lot. Looking at its benchmark test and gaming experience, I can say that the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a very powerful processor. But when the load falls, its efficiency starts decreasing slightly.
In our HD video loop test for the battery, the phone lasted 13 hours and 38 minutes, which is a great average performance according to its battery capacity. I was able to run it all day in general use in full charge. But on using camera and gaming, I felt the need to charge it soon. With 68W fast charging, the phone was charged 78 percent in 30 minutes and was full charge within an hour.
Motorola Edge 30 Pro Cameras
The phone has three cameras with high resolution, which has a 60 -megapixel selfie camera with the highest resolution. The rear has a 50 -megapixel primary camera, which comes with optical image stabilization. Its aperture is f/1.8. The secondary camera is a 50 -megapixel ultravide lens, with a field of view 114 degrees. The third sensor is a 2 -megapixel depth lens.

There has been no change in the camera app. It has the same camera features which are also seen in Edge 20 Pro. With the help of dual capture you can record videos using two cameras. It also has an audio zoom feature, which focuses more on its sound when zoomed on the subject.
The details in the photo taken in the day time are good and this phone is very fast in terms of focus. The dynamic range of the photo is quite good. Primary cameras and wide angle cameras capture good color, but there was a shortage of details and also saw barrel distortion.
Close shots taken from the phone’s camera were quite good and texture was also maintained well. When the subject came very close, the phone used to indicate to switch into macro mode. Because it uses a 50 -megapixel camera for macro shots, the results were captured with considerable details. Edge detection in the portrait shot was also good.

The low -light photos were not going to affect and the phone was unable to bring the phone details in the dark area of the frame. It was taking 3 seconds to capture the photo with night mode but the highlights were missed. Instead of night mode, I thought it better to take a regular shot, because there was not much difference in details with night mode.
The photo taken from the selfie camera was quite good. Photos came better during the day and low light. Selfie portrait was also able to capture the phone better. The results were coming better in shooting with extra light source in low light.

A video can be shot up to 8k in Motorola Edge 30 Pro with primary rear camera. But only up to 4K videos can be shot from the selfie camera. The footage shot at 1080p in the day-light was excessive than the sharpness but 4K footage was better. The video stabilization was good. Low-light footage was also fine, but the grains were more shooting in 4K.
Verdict
Motorola Edge 30 Pro smartphone has come as a big upgrade of Edge 20 Pro. It can also compete in the price segment of higher than its price. The highlight of the phone is its processor. If you keep the need to improve low-light condition slightly back, the camera performance will also be called good. Motorola has increased the match by bringing this device at a price of Rs 49,999.
However, Edge 30 Pro PROFERCH is slightly behind the title of the smartphone. If it is powerful, it also gets hot quickly. There was no problem in simple use, but the phone gets hot while playing 3D games. If you do not have much trouble with this, then you will like this phone a lot. But if you like to play too much games in the phone, then Asus Rog Phone 5s In this case, a better option is formed with a slightly lower price.
