Motorola One Fusion+ Design
Motorola One Fusion+ The sub-20,000 rupees is slightly different from some recent smartphones coming in the range. Its display size is 6.5 inches and it is not easy to use it with one hand. What I liked is that there is no notch or hole-pan for the front camera. The selfie camera is fit into a pop-up module, which is now seen very rarely in the smartphone coming around this price.
I found Motorola One Fusion+ a little thick. Its thickness is 9.6 millimeters and its weight is also slightly higher i.e. 210 grams. You will definitely feel its weight while holding it in hand. Thankfully, the edges of the smartphone are curved, which makes it comfortable when caught for a long time. Motorola All the buttons have fitted the right and kept the left completely empty. Power and volume buttons are easy to reach and also have a fourth button, which has a Google Assistant button.
The back has a quad rear camera setup, which includes flash next. In this, the fingerprint scanner is given back, which is easy to reach and the popular batting logo of Motorola has been created on it. Now the maximum brands give fingerprint scanner in the power button instead of the back in their phone, yet I like to have a fingerprint sensor in the back, as it is convenient to use it.
Motorola has given a 5,000mAh battery in it, which is also the biggest reason for this phone being heavy and thick. One Fusion+ comes with fast charging support and the company also offers 18W turbocrisers in its box. The smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone jack with USB Type-C port and speaker at the bottom. This single speaker is quite good according to the small room.
Motorola One Fusion+ Specifications and Software
Motorola One Fusion + comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor in India, while the international model is a little less powerful Snapdragon 730 chipset. Motorola One Fusion+ has been launched in only 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variants. Motorola has priced it at Rs 16,999. Yes, the display of Motorola One Fusion+ does not have a high refresh rate, as we are looking at other smartphones coming around this price nowadays, but it does not actually prove to be a deal-breaker. I did not feel the difference of this feature not having this feature in looking at the phone from the front and running.
The display is really crisp. It is an IPS LCD panel, which comes with HDR10 support and has three color modes to choose from. There is no protective glass in it, but Motorola says that it has given anti-fingerprint and anti-scratch coating in it. Still we will advise you to be careful.
Motorola sells one fusion+ in two colors, Twilight Blue and Moonlight White. We had its blue variant, I would personally choose the all-white option as it is slightly different from the rest of the phone available in the market. One fusion+ has dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 802.11 AC support. The storage is expandable but is a hybrid dual-sim slot.
What I liked the most about Motorola One Fusion+ is that it runs on the Android 10 operating system that felt almost stock with some useful additional features. By the time the review was written, it was running on the April Security Patch. Motorola One Fusion+ is not part of the Android One Program and I can only hope that the company gives it a timely software update for a few years to come.
Moto Actions Gesters, such as ‘double-chop’ to turn on the flash and a ‘double-crank’ to open the camera are present in it. This phone also has a Moto display feature that prevents the phone from going to standby while looking at the screen. The peak display gives you the option to interact with the notification even during the screen lock. This feature compensates to not having a notification LED in the phone to a large extent.
This My UX skin based on Android 10 is largely stock UI, but the good thing is that you get the option to replace icons, system fonts, icons color and layout etc. Some Google apps already come to the Motorola One Fusion+. While reviewing this phone, I did not get a single spam notification in this device. Note other smartphone company.
Motorola One Fusion+ Performance
The rear-mounted fingerprint scanner of Motorola One Fusion+ immediately unlocks the smartphone. Because Google removed the face unlock feature from stock Android 10, Motorola One Fusion+ does not have this feature. We did not feel much of its lack, because the pop-up camera is slightly slow in coming up anyway.

Motorola One Fusion+ can also handle gaming comfortably. PUBG Mobile runs in HD by default on graphics and high-prints. I played the game in these settings without any problem for 20 minutes, after which the smartphone was negligible. After playing so much, the phone’s battery declined by 5 percent, which is acceptable.
Motorola One Fusion+ lasted easily for one and a half days in a charge. It managed to last 15 hours, 45 minutes in our HD video loop test. It is relatively fast to charge through 18W turbocharger, but we have seen a fast charging in the contestants. The phone was charged 32 percent in 30 minutes and 60 percent in an hour. It took more than two hours to do 100 percent.
Motorola One Fusion+ Cameras
Motorola has given a quad rear camera setup in One Fusion+. This includes 64-megapixel primary sensor with F/1.8 aperture, F/2.2 aperture 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, F/2.4 aperture 5-megapixel macro lens and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front has a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. I found that the camera app is very simple and easy to use. Its artificial intelligence feature also works well. If you are shooting in low light, it will suggest you night mode and if you are drawing a picture of an object closer then it suggests you a macro camera.
I found that Motorola Fusion+ was faster in setting the focus. In the daylight, it took good pictures with enough details. Even it captured the distant subject well. The phone enables HDR automatically to take good shots in light.
The ultra-wide-angle camera can capture a much larger area, but it has a slightly different color tone than the primary camera. The pictures taken from this do not get details like a primary camera and you will see a water color effect on zoom in. I found that the ultra-wide-angle camera is good only to capture landscape.
This camera close-up comes out quite good. The primary camera adds natural depth effect to the background, which looks good. The macro camera lets you capture an object very closely, but does not give details like a primary camera.
Portrait mode gives you the option to set the blur level before taking a shot. Age detection is good and this background blur properly.
The low-light camera performance is average and Motorola One Fusion+ leaves the details in low light. The photos look slightly granulated when zoom-in. Most of these problems are immediately eliminated by switching to night mode. Although I had to keep the phone stable for a while with night mode, the pictures with night mode came very bright and also improved the details.
The selfie taken with Motorola One Fusion+ had good details. You can also enable portrait mode for selfie and its age detection was good. The quality deteriorates in low light, but the selfie camera also supports night mode, which helps some extent to cure photos.
Verdict
Talking about some time, I have reviewed many budget smartphones, but in the true sense I have come to review Motorola One Fusion+. Its main highlight is its clean, blotware-free-stock Android software, which gives the best user experience. Moto Actions work in this experience and make the experience better. The display lacks high refresh rates, but it is a display bright and has good viewing angles. Its fast speaker enhances video viewing experience.
I hope that Motorola will continue to update the software of this phone over time to take an edge in competition. Motorola has set the price right in the correct place according to the specifications of One Fusion+, which has made it very easy for me to advise it.
