The price of Realme 7 Pro starts at Rs 19,999 in India, which is much higher than the launch price of 6 Pro. Currently in big rivals of new phones Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (Review) and Poco x2 (Review) and to some extent, Redmi K20 (Review) and Oppo F17 Pro You can also compete. Now it is time to find out whether the new Realme 7 Pro is worth buying or not.
Realme 7 Pro: Design and Display
Reality 7 Pro provides the same mirror-split design as Realme 7, but it is much thin (8.7mm) and light (182 grams) compared to Realme 6 Pro. For this reason, your grip on the phone will be good and it is very comfortable to use it. The frames and back panels are still made of plastic, but the quality is very good and the phone feels strong. Matte finish in the back means that it does not easily hold fingers and we like to see the mirror blue unit. The phone is also available in white color.
The placements of the button are good, and at the bottom of it you get headphone jack, USB Type-C port and speaker. Realme 7 Pro with 6.4-inch screen size is smaller than 6 Pro in terms of display, but is with a super amoled panel with full-HD+ resolution. Reality has also claimed the use of Gorilla Glass in the series, although in which version, there is no explicit about it. The display is bright, colors get good, all the credit goes to the panel. 7 Pro offers allways on-display and in-display fingerprint sensor. Sadly, this phone leaves a large feature in Realme 6 Pro, which is a high refresh rate screen. Realme 7 Pro offers a standard refresh rate of 60Hz, which is a bit disappointing. Realme 7 Pro: Performance and Features
Realme 7 Pro performed well in the time spent with us and I was not surprised, as it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset similar to 6 Pro. It is still a good chip. It performs its work well and does not make it too hot even after giving more stress. The base variant of the Reality 7 Pro provides 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and is priced at 19,999, while a higher price variant has 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, which will put a weight of Rs 21,999 on your pocket. We have the top variants for review. RAM and storage in the phone fall in LPDDR4X and UFS 2.1 format respectively. Realme also claims that 7 Pro is the first smartphone to pass the 7 Pro TUV Reinland smartphone Relibility Verification Test.
Realme UI went on this top-end variant very comfortably. Launching the app, switching between several apps or playing a heavy game, the phone was comfortably withstanding every task. The high refrese rate has a little cake, but this can happen because we have recently tested many phones with 90 Hz screen.
The Super AMOLED display was great to watch videos and this experience was extended by the stereo speaker. The stereo effect is good and Dolby helps in promoting atmos volume and audio fidelity. Games also went very well.
Realme 7 Pro: Battery Life
Realme 7 Pro has a 4,500mAh battery, which runs easily for more than a day on a full charge. Our HD video loop test also showed good results. The phone lasted for more than 22 hours. It also takes much less time to fully charge it thanks to the 65W fast charging adopter involved. In our Tests, the 7 Pro battery charged up to 87 percent in half an hour and it took only 10 minutes to reach 100 percent.
Realme 7 Pro: Cameras
Rear cameras on Reality 7 Pro are similar to Realme 7. It comes with 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfie, it gets a 32-megapixel camera sensor, in which F/2.5 aperture is available. Realme 7 Pro is deficient in ultra wide-angle selfie camera and rear telephoto camera sensor compared to Realme 6 Pro. Realme claims that a new 64-megapixel primary camera can offer better clarity compared to the 2x optical telephoto camera.
Let’s see how effective the setup is. In the first shot, we paid attention to this tree, which was a distance. If we zoom to examine both photos, the primary camera of Realme 7 Pro and Telephoto camera of 6 Pro took out a lot of details. The result was very good using the 2x digital zoom on the 7 Pro, but the 6 Pro telephoto camera still took out a little better detail and smooth depth. Overall, if you want to take good zoom-in shots with 7 Pro, then it is a good option to shoot a 64-megapixel photo and then crop it later.
Regular photos taken in daylight were generally good. The camera handled the HDR well, the details were good and the color appeared natural. There was something similar in the case of close-up, in which blur in the background was natural. The ultra wide-angle camera was not able to capture a good detail equal to the primary camera. We found that landscape photos taken from this camera had some chromatic effects.
Portrait came well, which had good edge detection and background also appeared well. The macro camera was fine and if we keep the phone well stable then it can capture some good pictures.
The pictures of low light were fine. There was not much noise in the pictures and details were good, even if the picture was taken in more darkness. You can bright the subject using night mode. This mode clearly showed the difference in photographs. Realme 7 Pro is equipped with other night mode, such as stary mode and pro night mode. Ultra wide-angle camera does not give very good photos in low light.
The front camera took a good selfie during its original 32-megapixel resolution, during the day. Portrait mode also did a good job. The HDR capabilities of the selfie camera were equally impressive and it managed to expose the bright background properly without losing details on the subject’s face. Selfies taken indoors also look good in good artificial lights. However, in the event of very low light, the details declined.
Verdict: Should You Buy The Realme 7 Pro?
After considering all things, we feel that Realme has done a very good job in making 7 Pro. This as features like AMOLED screen, stereo speakers and tremendous fast charging Realme 6 Pro Brings big upgrade above. Due to the new sensor, the primary rear camera gives better results, but overall, we seem to be normally all cameras still need a slight improvement in low light. Perhaps giving ultra wide-angle selfie camera instead of depth sensor would have been a good step.
Given competition in this segment, we do not think that Realme 7 Pro Can become a fully winner. Motorola One Fusion+ It is difficult to ignore the good value received with, with a pop-up selfie camera, a slightly fast chipset and the HDR10 certified display. Poco is also gearing up to launch Poco X3. If the phone is launched around the price of Realme 7 Pro, then the competition will definitely be hot.
