The design of Redmi Note 11S is quite simple as per my choice. Its blue and polar white color variants still grab a little attention, but I had a black unit for review, which felt quite boring. Its plastic frame and back panel build quality is quite good and the phone was quite convenient in catching. It does not look heavy with 179 grams weight and is not too thick. The main camera of the phone is slightly out of the rest of the cameras. The phone does not look stable when kept in a flat place.
Xiaomi has given a 6.43 -inch AMOLED display in the phone, whose peak brightness is 1000 NITs. The remaining features of the display cannot be said to be extraordinary. It has a peak refresh rate of 90Hz and a basic touch sampling rate of 180 Hz. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is given for screen protection. The FHD+ resolution of the display makes sharp visual and colors attractive. The refresh rate by default is set on 60Hz, which you have to set yourself on 90Hz.

Therefore, it cannot be called ‘Always on’ display in reality.
The experience of watching the video on the display was good, but the sound of the stereo speakers has not been well balanced, as the bottom speaker was giving more clean sound quality than the yearpiece. The games went well, but some heavy games were able to run on low graphic settings. For example, Call of Duty: Mobile Game did not show the option of ‘High’ settings in graphics. The game playing experience was smooth, but it was not as usually occurs.
Xiaomi says it has a liquid cooling system, which keeps the phone cool at the time of heavy use. However, after playing the call of duty for 30 minutes, both the back panel and the frame of the phone became quite hot. In the test scores, the phone performed the same as it was expected. Details in the photo were good in the bright sunlight, but Colors’ saturation became very high. After the Pro Color Mode given in the camera, the intensity of Colors increased further, causing the photos to look artificial. The results were good with 108 megapixel resolution and the balance of color looked more. In the photo, things appeared to a large extent in natural color.
While taking close-up shots with the main camera, the phone was seen struggling in the case of autofocus. The right focus was only after tapping on the viewfinder several times. The main sensor in low-light showed failure to take good photos. There was no significant difference in photo quality even on 108 megapixel resolution. After that the use of night mode was the last option. After switching in it, the camera took several seconds to take the shot but the details and exposure got better. One thing was surprising that you cannot use night mode with ultravide or selfie camera. It eats a lot.
Talking about its 8 megapixel ultravide camera, colors are seen in the photo taken in the day time, which is a good thing. The photos in low-light got very blurred and colors were also found disappointed. The phone has a 2 megapixel basic macro camera. Therefore, its results also did not come good. The selfie camera is 16 megapixels and the results got good in the photo during the day time. However, the sharpness appeared slightly more in the portrait. The selfie taken with ambient lights in indoor was much better, but the quality of the photo in outdoor was greatly reduced.
Redmi Note 11S can record videos up to 1080p only. Stabilization is found in the video. The video quality was average during the day time. The video quality in low-light was very bad and it was disappointed according to the phone of this segment.
