External Affairs Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said on Tuesday that no issue of trade arose in a conversation between senior Indian officials and US officials, from the onset of operation sindoor on May 7 to the public announcement of firing and military action being shut down on May 10. The claim of US President Donald Trump has been rejected by Indian authorities that the ceasefire between India and Pakistan took place with a promise of trading.
India had earlier ignored the claim of the US President that he had established peace between the two countries. India had said that the ceasefire conversation took place directly with Pakistan, after which Islamabad spoke to New Delhi over the phone.
President Donald Trump said on Monday that the US is ready to help him in view of the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. He says that his administration has helped to mediate in this agreement.
However, Indian officials emphasized that the agreement was strictly interacted between New Delhi and Islamabad, which was done keeping in mind India’s long -standing situation that all issues with Pakistan should be resolved bilaterally.
US President Trump said that he told India and Pakistan that if they stop the struggle, America would do a lot of business with them.
He said, “And we helped a lot and we also helped in terms of business.
On this claim of Trump, when the Mea spokesperson was asked questions, he said, “From the onset of Operation Sindoor on May 7, on May 10, there was a conversation on the emerging military situation between Indian and American leaders, from Indian and American leaders. The issue of trade did not arise in any of these discussions.”
At the same time, he also insisted that the issue of Kashmir between India and Pakistan is bilateral, so no intervention of any third party will be approved in this issue. This statement from Mea has come at a time when Trump had recently presented the middle of the Kashmir issue.
Along with this, India also made it clear that if there is talk on any issue with Pakistan, then it will be on the return of POK.
In response to the Pahalgam terror attack last week, the tension between India and Pakistan increased after the Indian armed forces attacked terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK). On Saturday, it was agreed between the two neighboring countries that all kinds of firing and military action will be stopped in land, air and sea from 5 pm on that day.
India will demand to ban terrorist organization TRF in UNSC, this group was behind Pahalgam attack
