A special headline of this is made from MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC with which the phone has made her debut in India. It is based on 4Nm technology and is cracked on 3.05GHz. This is quite a big upgrade and makes it quite powerful in the flagship smartphones of this segment of 2022.
Vivo x80 Has been launched in two variants. The base model has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and is priced at Rs 54,999. The second variant has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and is priced at Rs 59,999.
Vivo has fitted the new V1+ imaging processor in it that supports the difficult tasks related to processor, including capturing photos in night mode, speeding frames during game play, etc. The company says that this smartphone has the largest single chamber Vapper cooling system, which is not in any other smartphone in India. On paper, this phone is a top notch experience device and I will test these claims of the company in its full review. After using the phone for a short time, I can say that its cooling system works, because the camera app did not stop even after the phone was hot during video recording.
In terms of design, it is like the X70 Pro+ that came last year. In fact, both new smartphones have only the difference between the old and the X80 and X80 Pro Periscopic camera does not appear. Everything else is the same and appears in the same place. The company has rated the phone IP53, which is usually not seen in this segment phone.
The phone has an aluminum alloy frame placed between two glass layers. The sides of the phone are curved. The rear panel has a fluorite AG glass and has a matte finish, which does not allow fingerprint easily. My unit was in Urban Blue Finnish, which looks quite fresh and different. The overall finish of the phone looks quite premium and even after weighing 206 grams, it does not look so heavy.

The Vivo X80 has a 6.78 inch E5 AMOLED display but does not come up with LTPO technology which is given in a little more expensive X80 Pro. The resolution is FullHD Plus and the maximum refresh rate is 120Hz. Its maximum touch sampling rate is 240Hz. I played Call of Duty: Mobile on it, the game went smooth. For gaming, I will further test its new chipset. The display has a Schott’s Xensation Up Protection, which is similar to the fingerprint megate in the initial use. The phone has dual stereo speakers which X70 Pro I was not
Talking about its camera, Sony’s new 50 megapixel IMX866 sensor has been given in the phone. It has RGBW pixel arrangements and optical image stabilization is also available. Vivo says that for photos and videos in low light it comes with better light sensitivity. I will test it in full review of the phone. The X80 has a 12 -megapixel portrait camera and a 12 -megapixel ultravide angle camera. OIS is not available in any of these two.
Like the Vivo X80 Pro, X80 has a new Zeiss branded video styles feature of Viva. Through this you can shoot a video in the cinematic aspect ratio of 2.39: 1. Camera panning style is also a new feature for the photo. With this, you can add motion blur in the background of the photo.

The phone for selfie comes with a 32 megapixel camera. It also has a cinematic style feature so that the photo can be drawn into more wide angles. My early impressions say that its camera system has great capacity. Detail and dynamic range is quite good. I lacked the telephoto camera for portrait shots in it. Details were found less in digital zoom but I will save the last comment for full review.
The Vivo X80 has a 4,500mAh battery which is charged very fast with 80W charger. It does not have wireless charging, which is a big lapse, as is also seen in Samsung Galaxy S20 Fe 5G. Even in Apple iPhone SE (2022), this feature has been given, which is less than them in the price.
The company says that it will give three Android OS updates for the phone and will also provide security update for three years. This is a big thing. The phone runs on FUNTUCH OS 12 which is Android 12 based. Software goes well but many third party apps also come in it.
Vivo X80 is not just a camera-centric phone, but its hardware also has the ability to give good gaming experience. It seems that this is a great upgrade to the X70 Pro. Apart from being a powerful processor, it also has stereo speakers and IP ratings. In terms of competition, the phone is quite attractive and compete with Realme GT 2 Pro and Motorola Edge 30 Pro. In full review, I will test its camera, gaming performance and battery life. For that you stay with gadgets 360.
